In the silence of my lonely room, I think of you, night and day.

This is a place reserved for putting down this wife's perspective of the events of the ten months the men of 1st Battalion 3rd Marines were deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, including Operation Al-Fajr/Phantom Fury. It is an open and honest dialogue, a truthful perspective. While started four years afterward, it is important to put these memories and feelings down before time washes them away forever.

While time may erode the details, the pain and fear will never leave. The pride to know my love and my friends were part of something so awe inspiring will never leave, either. While the details may fade, the emotions, the tears, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
